Damian is away for the weekend, his band is going to play at some punk camp, 14 hours from here. I've been so uninspired lately. I started a whole30 again but this time it's actually a whole90. It's been great so far. Damian and Maxi have been torturing me by eating donuts in front of me several times. I decided to do whole30 for 90 days because honestly as soon as whole30 ended, oh my gosh, I didnt know what to do with myself... I slowly started going back to my old ways and then it went back to uncontrollable cravings. I hope with this time doing the cleanse for 90 days, it will be harder to go back to old habits/ easier to continue with healthy habits. Round two has been waaay easier. No headaches, grown up tantrums or hard core cravings. I still have cravings, but they are the controllable kind. I dropped my 3 month old phone in the toilet today. No insurance. Some times things don't go as planned. Some times life isn't as exciting as you'd like. But it is always beautiful.

LINKS | It's the weekend!

{ so many hearts in my watermelon today }

I'm on day 28 of whole30! That means Sunday I'm having sushi and ice cream! I'm so happy with the results I've gotten from whole30. 1. I haven't weighed myself but I fit perfectly into all the jeans that I had stopped wearing due to gaining weight. 2. I don't suffer from cravings. like. at. all. 3. I can actually say no to doughnuts, chocolate and ice cream. 4. I don't have to constantly snack on something, three meals a day and the occasional handful of nuts or fruit and I'm totally satisfied. 5. I can cook the same thing for the family instead of cooking a meal for myself and one for them. My relationship with food has completely changed for the better and I love how I feel so much that I'm starting whole30 again on July 5th.

Last weekend was so much fun! I had a girls date with my friend Jasmin, then we went to have dinner with her and her family, they invited us to spend the night at their new place and after, we picked up Damian and Maxi who where back from visiting my dad in TJ. Us girls ended up staying home with the bbs and the boys went to our friends house who was actually bummed that we didn't go, they were waiting for us with s'mores for the kids. On Sunday morning we all went to the farmers market and after we had a carne asada at their place. Everything wasn't all fine and dandy we did have a big scare at the end of the day when Maxi jumped from one couch to another and bumped his head on some furniture, he bled a lot and Damian kind of panicked so we all got really scared but luckily my baby is a tough cookie and the cut wasn't deep. Some antibiotics, bandages and icees did the job. Oh boy did we get scared though, I felt so bad for my poor baby. The next day the first thing he said when he woke up was " I jump, I jump mama, I hurt!".

This weekend we have our friends birthday party, zoo date and like I mentioned a sushi and ice cream date.

Hope you guys have a great one! XOXO

LINKS | Doughnut Day

{ Happy National Doughnut Day! These are from my birthday. I'm on day 22 of whole30 so no donuts for me, yay! I'm not even craving them, I don't recognize myself! }

It's Friday! We might go to a little fair that's near by depending how we are feeling later on. It's one that my mom always took me and my sisters when we were younger, I drove by it yesterday and got flashbacks of younger days. Saturday, Damian will be going to Tijuana to help my dad with some stuff around the house and he will be taking Maximiliano. This is like the third time that he will be away from me since he was born (not counting when I was working a few hours in the afternoons). I immediately hit up my friend to make some plans for the day. It's not everyday I get a day all to myself! So far we will be having brunch at Cafe Chloe and checking out some thrift stores. Hope you all have a lovely weekend. XOXO

these weeks favorites (involve lots of food):

Of course I have to share these s'mores donuts. I think I just gained 20 pounds by looking at them.
And some more indulging: deep dish cookie pies! that involve ice cream.

Want to start doing this short ab routine. P.S. I have no clue what Jennifer Aniston's abs look like.

Lastly: GOALS.

Happy Friday! Maximiliano woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I have no plans. Damian has band practice. The weather is gloomy. So let's see how this Friday plays out for us over here. I'm on day 15 of whole30 and that means I'm half way there! I couldn't feel better and am not missing any food at all, I never go hungry and am happy with all the meals I eat. Only on day 9 did I have a MEAN donut craving and I almost gave in BUT am so happy I didnt! This weekend I'm going to try to fit in a farmer's market outing and hopefully some beach time. I'm almost done with all crafty diy's for Maxi's birthday so I'm happy about that! Also I get to hang out with my good friend Jasmin tomorrow so yay, maybe we will get some thrifting done. Hope you all have a great weekend! XOXO

It's Friday! It's been raining over here today so I'll post this picture of last week when it was starting to feel like summer. Chalk, water balloons and lots of bubble blowing.

Last weekend I talked about wanting to start whole 30, I was talking to my mom about it and she said she wanted to join me. She also said she was going to tell my little sister about it, apparently we are all doing it together and I'm excited! My mom set the date, from May 15 to June 13. I though it was perfect since it's after mother's day but before Maximiliano's birthday. Also we plan on going to the fair right after whole 30.

No date night today since Damian is playing a show, we just went out for some quick mexican food and to get Maxi a little bug kit. We then captured some snails, fed them some leaves and they will be released before we go to bed. Saturday we plan on heading over to the farmer's market, last Saturday day we were there and after we ended up in old town where there was a cinco de mayo celebration we weren't even aware of, it was lots of fun! Still no plans for Sunday so we'll see where we end up maybe we can head over to that ice cream place I've been wanting to try out also maybe pick up a new plant. We'll see.

This weeks favorites:

DIY leather and brass hanging planter. These planter diy's keep on getting better!
Favorite songs this week: This one & This one.
Trio of habanero salsas. Definitely will be making some.

 { Maximiliano with grandma on a taco tuesday date | no I do not let him drink coke but yes my mom at times let's him have a sip of hers, no matter how many times I tell her not to. }

Spicy Sofritas Veggie Bowls. On the to make list.
I am definitely the Default Parent.
Can't decide if I want to get these or these for Maximiliano.
I've been having baby fever lately. These baby girl clogs are the cutest.

It's Friday and we literally have no plans this weekend and I am perfectly fine with that.

I've been really contemplating doing a round of whole 30. I feel like my body would really thank me for it. After struggling with eating a healthy diet but getting crazy junk food cravings and sometimes binge eating, I think whole 30 would help me with the sugar cravings. If you haven't heard about whole 30, you can check out their program rules here. If I do it, I would start tomorrow and that would most likely mean we would possibly go out for pizza and a coconut latte today.

What are your plans for this weekend?
XOXO, Lidia.

LINKS | STRESSED

This weeks favorites:

Toddler eats. Great ideas for little lunches.
I really want to make a macrame plant hanger, with this easy tutorial.
How to turn a diaper box into a basket, another easy tutorial I want to try.
Teaching your child not to interrupt. I have a feeling this is going to come in handy soon.
and lastly GOALS.

This week has been SO hard. I have been taking care of my two year old niece because her grandparents (who are the ones that usually take care of her) had to take an emergency trip to Mexico. Let me just say I have not had time to sit down from 8-6 for the past 3 days. Maximiliano and her are constantly fighting over every. single. thing. They each want what the other has. They are also constantly getting into trouble, dragging chairs to get popsicles out of the freezer, jumping on the bed, climbing all the couches and then jumping off and so on and so forth. I was ready to just break down and cry with both of them today. I run out to throw a very bad diaper in the front yard trash can, literally took me 4 seconds and Maximiliano locked me out. After a minute of trying to convince him to unlock the door for me and mentioning time out a few times I gave up ran to the back door and forced my hand through the window. Maxi is a trouble maker BUT nothing compared to when they both team up. To think next week will be the same... Ugh that is not even all of it but I am too tired, it's been a looong day and my bed awaits!

I'm so happy it's finally the weekend, Maximiliano and I have been stuck inside the house this WHOLE week. He has a pretty bad cough (that has now passed on to me) and we've been resting plenty. I was hoping that he'd be better this weekend so we could go on some adventures but we'll see... Mean while I'm hoping to head to the farmers market tomorrow morning, I had the best mint mojito iced coffee last Saturday and I'm officially hooked.  We're also having a few friends over tomorrow and hopefully Sunday we can head to the zoo. Today I'm really hoping for a date with my husband, I sure need a breather. Hope you all have a fun filled weekend!
