Summer Time and the Livin's easy.

Some time last year I decided that I was going to live more in the moment and stop
anticipating the future so much. I made sure that I stopped using the words:
"I can't wait for..." I think it has a lot to do with being a parent and watching your child
grow so fast and not being able to stop time in it's tracks.
You just learn to love the everyday life and all the little moments and details that make
like so wonderful, especially everyday life.

That being said I'm very much excited for summer to come!
I'm enjoying spring very much and loving everything that comes with it
but I won't deny that the thought of summer makes me very very happy.

These photos are from last summer at the beach, when Maximiliano
was a little chubby baby, wobbling around as a penguin loving every moment of it.
I can only imagine how excited he will be this year. He sure does love water, sand
and chasing birds. California beach baby for sure.

1. Soaking up the sun while I selfie, don't mind me.
2. Maximiliano, enjoying the ice cold water.
3. I don't know if you can kind of see that half sand mustache...
4. What is it with babies and shoving sand in their mouth?
5. Tiny feet.
6. "Mom, can we stay here forever?"
7. Family selfie that needs to be framed.

Easter Day

This Easter Day was spent at our good friends house.
It was a lovely day with lots of sunshine and good food,
our friends made some killer ribs.
(I made sure I got the recipe for that rub!)
I took some deviled eggs, my go to pasta salad and my infamous
carrot cupcakes.
I will share both recipes for the deviled eggs and salad on a later post.

The babies had a blast running non stop all day long, mines the one
in the pink shirt and white pants and he didn't care much for the eggs.
Elijah (the cutie in the plaited shirt) and Him spent all day trying to take
the cars from each other, they wanted the same toys at the same time and
no one was giving in. I wonder if it has to do with them being born on the
same exact day. It was funny watching them interact.
We thought we weren't going to be able to sit them all down for a picture
but surprisingly we took about 15 before they decided to run away!
I only used a disposable camera that day and I can't wait to get them printed!

The day before Easter was my birthday and I had a little get together
with friends. I made appetizers; slices of quiche, guacamole with chips,
tortellini on skewers with marinara sauce and deviled eggs.
(Those deviled eggs and guacamole were a hit, and that made me happy).
So there was lots of cooking this passed weekend, and that means
I will be sharing some recipes here soon.

Over all I feel thankful for my little family and all the good friends in my life.
Hope Everyone had a lovely Easter.

XOXO
