Chocolate Beet Cake with Beet Cream Cheese Frosting

Another beet cake? Yes. I fell in love with this beet cake I baked back in August
and I just had to try out this recipe I found over at Joy's blog!
The whole beet cream cheese frosting did me in, look at that natural color,
all just from the beets.

I baked this awesome cake for my sisters' 21st birthday and as always
Joy did not disappoint! The cake was delicious, moist, and absolutely stunning.

Though everyone loved it and I received a lot of compliments on it, almost
everyone said they liked the beet cake I baked back in August better.

Though it wasn't as appealing to the eye, not so pink and bright,
it only had a sprinkling of powered sugar on top. They said they enjoyed
the flavor better... maybe the frosting takes away from the beet cake itself...
though the frosting on it's own is delicious!
Maybe I did add a bit more frosting that I should have.
Oh well. Either way it was amazing and everyone ate it all up!

I can't make up my mind on which recipe I like the most >.<
So I guess It comes down to the occasion.

This cake: which has a stronger beet flavor, it does call for 2 cups of beets
while the other recipe just calls for 3/4 cup is perfect for tea on
any good old day meanwhile This cake: which is sweeter and more aesthetic
is specially perfect for birthdays and special occasions!

I personally love both recipes and think both of them are definitely keepers
and worth of handing down. I will be making both of these again and
I definitely recommend you try these both out, if you do, do let me know
which is your favorite.
